Evan Doyle Perry
Evan Doyle Perry, age 78, passed away at home on Friday, April 20, 2018 with family by his side. Doyle was born June 7, 1939 to Evan and Geneva Warby Perry in Vernal, Utah.
At a young age the family moved to Rangely, CO. Doyle lived there until early1960’s. Doyle moved to Vernal to work for Halliburton as a truck driver. He never saw a Peterbuilt or Kenworth he didn’t stop to admire. He worked for Halliburton for 12 years and then went to work for Hatch Co. where drove for 10 years.
Doyle loved to hunt, camp and fish at every opportunity, taking the family along for the outings. He loved to be with his family in his mountains.
He was forced to retire early due to a heart condition which he bore with great strength to his death.
Doyle married Ila Case Oliver on March 6, 1972. They were sealed for time and all eternity March 24, 1989.
He is survived by his wife Ila, children: Douglas (Karen) Of Oklahoma, Vincent (Heidi) of Vernal, Adeline (Bryan) of North Dakota, Mechelle (Cyle) of Vernal, brother Drell (Becky) Perry of Elsinore, Utah.
Doyle is preceded in death by his parents, Evan and Geneva Perry, brother George Perry and sister Delores Polhamus.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 11AM at the Vernal 8th Ward Chapel (1499 West Highway 40). A viewing for family and friends will be held Tuesday evening from 6-8PM at the Ashley Valley Funeral Home and Wednesday 9:45-10:45AM at the chapel.
