Ashley Valley Funeral Home is family owned and operated by Jake and Whitney Phillips.  Jake is a licensed Funeral Director, Preplanning Consultant and Certified Crematory Operator.  Jake received his degree from Arapahoe College of Mortuary Science and worked for Larkin Mortuary in Salt Lake City.  Jake and Whitney returned to their home town of Vernal in 2011 to open the Ashley Valley Funeral Home.

Ashley Valley Funeral home has two licensed Funeral Directors and Certified Crematory Operators with over 43 years of combined experience in the funeral and cremation industry.

Ashley Valley Funeral Home serves all Faiths, Cultures and Lifestyles.  As a family owned mortuary, we too have lost loved ones and know all too well that selecting a funeral home is an important step in the funeral process.
Families that we have been honored to serve have said it is nice having a new, clean, home like and spacious facility to celebrate a life well lived, particularly that our funeral home is one level, allowing easy access for wheelchairs and the elderly.

Families have also found it comforting that we are able to handle all the details under one roof.  Preventing families from having to go multiple places to make all the necessary arrangements (headstone, cemetery, flowers, newpaper, etc...) while grieving.  We offer quality American made products. We pride ourselves in keeping prices low while still offering the highest quality of services that families have come to expect from the Phillips family.

Our family would like to invite you to come see the difference and see why families are choosing Ashley Valley Funeral Home.  Please stop by our Mortuary located in Vernal Monday~Friday 9~5PM or call to make a private night or weekend appointment to fit your schedule.

We are the only funeral home in the Uintah Basin and Vernal with an On-Site Crematory.  Your loved one will no longer have to be transported to Salt Lake City for cremation when you choose Ashley Valley Funeral Home.

Thank you to the Vernal Elks Lodge and the American Legion Post 11 for collecting over 250 American Flags to be retired.  Ashley Valley Funeral Home along with Basin Cremation Center is honored to be able to receive the flags for retirement.  The flags will be retired in the most reverent manner in our on-site crematorium.

If you see Tanner Woodruff this week give him a BIG pat on the back. This kid has spent countless hours making baby caskets for his Eagle Scout Project. These little caskets will be available at no cost to families who experience a loss of a premature baby. Tanner donated these to Juleena Mansfield who is the coordinator for Angel of Hope. These caskets will be available at Ashley Valley Funeral Home for any family to use no matter what funeral home they choose. GREAT JOB TANNER!! We are proud of you!

Ashley Valley Funeral Homes On-Site Crematory is Now Open.  Your loved one will no longer have to be transported to Salt Lake City for Cremation when you choose our cremation services.

Headstone for the 2018 season are being installed daily.
Please visit our sister company's website to see headstone design ideas.  We specialized in quality granite imported from all over the world.  We also replace broken concrete, flower vases and repair chipped granite.

Carter Winn chose an Eagle Project that will benefit families experiencing the loss of a baby. The inspiration for his project and Tanner's came from Carter's aunt, Heidi Winn who works as a labor and delivery nurse at Ashley Regional Medical Center. Carter and numerous family members and registered scouters built four full size infant caskets. The caskets were designed by Carter's grandfather, Terry Winn. Thanks to Carter's very generous donors, there was money available to assist in the purchase of the vaults that the caskets are required to be placed in. Thank you to Jake Phillips and Ashley Valley Funeral Home for accepting these caskets that are available to families regardless of the mortuary they choose. Scouting inspires greatness. THANK YOU, CARTER!
