Ted Hyrum Gardner
Ted Hyrum Gardner, 87, resident of Vernal, Utah died at home 4/12/2018 at 11:30 surrounded by his family. Ted was born in Hayden Utah to Elmer and Hazel Gardner. Ted spent his early years in Hayden, Utah, served as Private First Class in the U.S. Army August 14, 1951 through August 13, 1953, while stationed in Pittsburgh, PA Ted met the love of his life Margaret (Margie) Ann Ritter. Ted and Margie were married 08/29/1953 establishing their lifelong home in Vernal, Utah.
Ted was a career employee with Chevron, spent his free time enjoying the outdoors camping, riding around the valley reminiscing, watching wildlife, enjoying a cup of coffee and sitting on the porch with family and friends. Ted had an amazing sense of humor and will be missed by all.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife Margie Gardner, Daughter Laurie Oyarzabal, Mother Hazel Gardner, and Father Elmer Gardner, Sisters Joan Smuin, Rosalie Rowley, Verona Goff and Kay Jackson. He is survived by his daughter Kim Reynolds of Cody Wyoming, son Mike Gardner (Kaylene) of Denver Colorado, son Wade (Lori) Gardner of Vernal, Utah, 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, brothers Ned Gardner, Don Gardner, Jack Gardner, sisters Beth Pfiefer and Lana Boren.
A private family graveside we be held this week.
