Colleen Moore Lamb Pendleton


Colleen Moore Lamb Pendleton, passed away on January 16, 2018, at the age of 82. She was born February 10, 1935, in Lapoint, Utah to Leondias Eugene Moore and Velda Elexis Labrum Moore Young. She married Byrrell Brinkerhoff Lamb on June 21, 1952. Together they raised six children (later divorced-preceded her in death). She shared the remaining years of her life with Lowell Peters Lyman (preceded her in death), Russel A. Taylor (preceded her in death), and James Pendelton (later divorced). Colleen graduated from Union High School in 1953. She shared her senior year with her sweetheart, she as a cheerleader and he as the basketball star. Colleen began her 32 years of service with Mountain Bell as a switchboard operator in Roosevelt until 1967 and retired in the business office in Provo. She worked two years at BYU. She cherished the many friendships made in those years of her life. Colleen was an example of devoted service to her church and family. She served five missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She dedicated herself to many years of faithful temple service. Colleen loved to travel and see new places. Visiting the LDS temples wherever she went was a highlight. Colleen was excellent seamstress; making many dresses and doll clothes for her girls over the years. If family gathered, she always wanted to be involved in the discussions and laughter. She enjoyed her vacation adventures around the country with her brothers and sisters. She is survived by: her children, Teresa (Dan Liebig) of Layton, UT, Debra (Ken LeFevre) of St. George, UT, Cherlyn “Lini” Liechty of Pleasant Grove, UT, Kathy Dawn “Dawnie” McKean of St. George, UT, and Bradley Glenn Lamb of St. George, UT; 21 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by: her parents; son Steven Byrrell Lamb; two brothers; one grandson and one great-granddaughter. A Graveside Service will be held in her honor at the Lapoint Cemetery, Lapoint, Utah, Saturday, January 27 @ 12:00 p.m.
