Alf Anthony Zelaya, age 67, passed away January 9, 2018 in Vernal, Utah. He was born to Rodolpho Zelaya and Edberta C. Linarte on January 12, 1950 in Chinandega, Nicaragua. He married Zoraida C. Quinto on May 11, 1974 in Managua, Nicaragua. He enjoyed fishing, visiting with family and vacationing. He also loved visiting and getting to know everyone he came in contact with. We will remember him for his humor and kindness. We will never forget his smile accompanied by his laughs. Above all we will cherish the example he was of giving to others in times of need and his plenty.

Alf is survived by his wife Zoraida Zelaya; children: Evelyn (Joshua) Johnson, Brigham Zelaya, Steely (Erin) Zelaya, Roxanna (Leif) Erickson, Alfredo (Dora) Linarte, mother Edberta Linarte, and 18 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father Rodolpho Zelaya, mother-in-law Maria Otilia.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 12, 2018, 2PM at the Ashley Valley Spanish Branch (150 South Aggie Blvd). A visitation will be held Friday 12:45-1:45PM at the Church. Interment will be in the Vernal Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
