Gillette Keith Ferguson
Gillette Keith Ferguson lived a life of service to his Lord, family, friends and community through his vocational abilities as a master mechanic and fabricator and his attitudes of love, stewardship and service. In the short 61 years of life on this earth his joy was clearly seen around family and friends while being outdoors, snowmobiling, camping and 4-wheeling. He passed from this life October 24, 2017. He was born July 10, 1956 in Syracuse, KS the son of George & Patricia (O’Toole) Ferguson. He is a lifetime member of the Church of Christ. His education included graduation from Yarbrough High School in Eva, Ok and Certification as a Detroit Allison Mechanic in Amarillo, TX and Liberal, KS before moving to Vernal, UT in 1980. He married Tammy Jo Spurlock in Vernal, UT on November 26, 1980 and was blessed with two son’s whom he raised in service to our Lord. Gillette was preceded in death by his mother Patricia (O’Toole) Ferguson in September of 2011. He is survived by his wife Tammy, two sons and their families, Keith and Dustin & (Dominique) Ferguson along with three young boys who blessed his last year with much joy and reside in Vernal, UT. Family surviving are father George Ferguson of Keyes, OK. Two brothers and their families Roger & (Linda) Ferguson of Tulsa, OK and Roscoe & (Teresa) Ferguson of Hooker, OK. Three sisters and their families Carol Lee of Forgan, OK, Beverly Lee of Keyes, OK and Tammy & (Stephen) Batten of St. John, KS. His quiver was full of blessings in many nieces, nephews and friends who he loved and enjoyed being part of his life. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been set up at Mountain America Credit Union entitled Ferguson Adoption Account to aid in the adoption of Gillette's grandkids.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 2PM at the Ashley Valley Funeral Home. A visitation for family and friends will follow the memorial service at the funeral home.
