Doug Yourdon

Marvin Douglas (Doug) Yourdon, 63, went to his heavenly home on September 19, 2017 in Vernal, Utah. Doug was born in Vernal, Utah on July 25, 1954 to Marvin H. and Ethel Yourdon. Doug grew up in Fruita, Colorado. He worked in the oil industry for many years as a Service Specialist before retiring a couple of years ago. Doug enjoyed fast cars, motorcyles, football and hunting. He was an avid and very proud Denver Broncos fan. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Marvin Douglas Yourdon, Jr. Survivors blessed by his memory include: daughters, Rhiannon (Corey) Reynolds of Johnstown, CO. and Lauren Yourdon of Mukilteo, WA; sisters Shanna (Rick) Pell and Penny (Mike) Coy all of Caney, KS. Doug was blessed with 5 wonderful grandchildren. He also left behind a plethora of close friends he considered family. A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 25 at 11:00am at the Kingsbury Community Church, 65 E. 100 N. in Vernal, Utah. Viewing for friends and family will be held on September 25 from 9:45-10:45am at the Kingsbury Community Hall. Interment will be in the Vernal Memorial Park under the direction of the Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
