Eva Reynolds York


Our beloved wife, mother, sister and grandmother, Eva Reynolds York passed away August 31, 2017 at her home in Vernal, Utah.

Eva was born in Roosevelt, Utah on June 18, 1929, the youngest child of Crystal Beers and George Lynn Reynolds, and was a longtime resident of Vernal.

Eva married her high school sweetheart, Jesse Raymond York, on May 15, 1948 and they walked through life together for over 69 years. Eva and Raymond had three children; Connie Christensen (Vance), of Vernal; Marilyn Hunt (Ervin), of Salt Lake City and Rick York (Becky) of Vernal.

She is survived by her loving husband Raymond, her children, her sister Hazel Haws of Vernal, 13 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Eva was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many callings. Including Primary teacher, pianist and Relief Society President. Her favorite calling was when she was called as a temple worker in the newly opened Vernal temple. She was a talented seamstress, pianist and genealogist.

Eva was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Loran Lynn Reynolds and Dean B. Reynolds.

Eva was a beautiful and talented woman who devoted her life to serving her family and her Heavenly Father. She will leave a void in our hearts that can never be filled until we are reunited. We will be forever blessed by all the things she taught us and the blessings she brought to our lives.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at 11AM at the Glines 2nd Ward LDS Chapel (78 South Aggie Blvd). A viewing will be held Monday evening from 6-8PM at the Ashley Valley Funeral Home and Tuesday 9:45-10:45AM at the Church. Interment will be in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
