Joseph Weyerman
Joseph J. Weyerman was born in Manti, Utah on February 29, 1936 and died
August 19, 2017 at the age of 81 years young.
On June 14, 1960 Joe married Glenda Patterson in the Logan Temple and there they began their life together. Joe loves his family and all his efforts were for the benefit of his family.
He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed many years of service. He was involved in the scouting programs, charities, and he fulfilled his responsibilities with love and compassion.
Joe was an inventor, engineer, builder, designer, many machines from saddle trees, clog shoes, band saws, log lathes, which are still being used today. He was also a machinist, accomplished in tool and die and loved logging and building log homes. For many years Joe had a log home and logging company, which kept him in the mountains where he loved it the most.
Joe’s hobbies in whittling, carving, archery, hunting, fishing, prospecting, camp perpetual motion, helicopters, creating, visiting with loved ones, and questioning life’s “whys” and “hows”.
He is survived by wife Glenda Weyerman of Vernal; Mike (Susan) Weyerman, Patty (Rod) Wadley, Joe (Jessica) Weyerman, and Richard (Pam) Weyerman all of Vernal; Robert (Brenda) Weyerman of Santaquin; Carol (Barry) Johnson and Barbara (Jerry) Luck of Vernal; 27 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are his brother Carl and sisters Mae and Anne.
On August 19, 2017 the mountains took him home. Rest in peace dear love, dear friend, dear daddio until we meet again.
Funeral services for Joseph Weyerman, age 81, husband of Glenda Weyerman, will be held Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 11AM at the Maeser Stake Center (2745 West 1000 North). A visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6-8PM at the Ashley Valley Funeral Home and Thursday 9:45-10:45AM at the Church. Interment will be in the Dry Fork Cemetery with Military honors provided by American Legion Post 11 and the Utah National Guard.
