Carol Ruth Miller
Carol Ruth Griffin Miller passed away July 28, 2017 She was born on November 22 1937 in Plattsburgh, Missouri to Theron and Anna Russell Griffin. She was the 2nd of seven children. Her family moved to Utah when she was 9 years old. They lived in Escalante and at Ruby's Inn. She married Riley Miller in 1953. They raised their 4 children in Alpine, Utah. She worked as a cosmetologist out of home while her kids were growing up. They later divorced. Carol moved to Vernal in 1989 to be near her children She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Billie, brothers Kay & Terry, a son Paul, and son in law Randy Sharp. She is survived by her children Nancy (Philip) Walton, Riley Mark(Barbara), and Janice Sharp. Sisters Carla Day (Rick Myers) , Dona Dexter, Gloria (Darr) Hatch. Also survived by 18 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 11AM at the Davis 4th Ward LDS Chapel (3990 South 1500 East). A viewing will be held Tuesday evening from 6-8PM at the Ashley Valley Funeral Home (410 North 800 West) and Wednesday 9:45-10:45AM at the Chapel. Interment will be in the Jensen Cemetery under the direction of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
