Sarah grew up in Wallsburg, Utah in her early childhood, and then the family moved to LaVerkin, Utah when she was about 10. She graduated from Hurricane High School. A few years after high school Sarah moved to Salt Lake, where she met and married Steven Snyder though they later divorced, he remained one of her best friends up until the time of her death, Steve always looked after her. Over the last few years Sarah’s health began to fail, she stayed with her best friend Andrea and then later her youngest sister Annie, so they could help care for her.
Sarah Jane was a very unique person and was often referred to as a “Free Spirit”, she loved everyone and everything around her. She was there for many of us to turn to in a time of need. Sarah Jane had a special place in her heart for all her nieces and nephews and had an especially close bond with her niece Kaydence Shelley. Sarah loved her video games, and enjoyed sharing them with all of the kids around her, she was very patient and showed them how much fun they could be even if it took her hours. Sarah Jane had many talents and hobbies and was always looking for ways to keep her brain healthy. She was extremely talented when it came to bead work, jewelry making, and her art work. Her favorite thing to study was the Native American Culture and she was very knowledgeable in every aspect. One of her main passions was making sure every animal around her was always being cared for and loved, especially her beloved service dog Dahaka. She had a big heart that she shared with everyone.
