Rae M. Jacobsen
Rae M. Jacobsen, wife of David R. Jacobsen, passed away from this life peacefully holding hands together with Dave at her Jensen home on April 3.
Rae and Dave grew up together attending Richards Ward in Sugar House S.L.C., through grade school, Jr. High, high school and Utah State University.
Rae and Dave married on Dec. 3, 1954, in the Salt Lake City Temple and raised five children, David Jeffery, Lisa Hacking (Mitch), John (Nancy), Erin Mayberry (Shane) and Amy Workman (Lance).
Rae is Preceded in death by her son, John (Dec. 25, 2016).
Rae and Dave have 21 grandchildren and by May 2017 will have 63 great-grandchildren.
Rae moved from Salt Lake City to Vernal with Dave when she joined the Highway Patrol in 1969. Rae helped Dave with finances by working at Job Services for 27 years. She is a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She volunteered as a Pink Lady at our local hospital for many years and at the local L.D.S. Family History Center. She is loved by family, friends and many people she helped over the years as well as her husband, David.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 10, 2017 at 11:30AM at the Jensen LDS Chapel (8775 East 6000 South). A viewing will be held Sunday evening from 6-8PM at the Ashley Valley Funeral Home (410 North 800 West) and Monday 10-11AM at the Church. Burial will be in the Jensen Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
