Loretta June Laskey Lane


Loretta June Laskey Lane born June 21, 1932 in Kremmling, Colorado, left this world to rejoin her God and her beloved husband, Delmer on March 30, 2017. Loretta was a homemaker, wife, mother, and business owner active in a sorority, her church, Chamber of Commerce in Craig, Colorado, girls scout leader and Neighborhood Chairman for the Girl Scouts. She worked for Reva & Floyd Workman at the Sage Motel as head housekeeper, and worked her way up to management of the hotel and restaurant and also worked for Leland & Pat McNeil at their corner store for several years. She and Delmer owned Lordel Distributing, the Coors Distributorship in Craig, Colorado, and sold it and moved back to Vernal in 1989. Loretta was very active in the business community in Craig, Colorado and enjoyed those years . After several years back in Vernal, Delmer took a job with Bob Williams and went to California to work for Dalbo. They both loved the Williams family and working with them. She was an avid reader and belonged to many book clubs through the years. She loved her church and her church family and was an active member for over 50 years. The light of her later life was her baby dog, Gidgit.

She is survived by her sister, Shirley Enyeart in Boise, Idaho; her children, by birth and by choice, Glenda Lane, Debbie McCarrell, Nancy (Robb) Stone Bloxham and Kevin Reardon and her dear daughter-in-law, Gleneita Galley Lane. She also is survived by her grandchildren, Jennifer (Jesse) Atwood, Amy (Shane) Ross, Julie Guinn, Brandon (Brynn) Lane, Jerid (Ashley) Shelton, Autumn (Eric) Reardon Anderson, Ricci (Troy) McCarrell Ostler, Brett (Mandy) Lane, Jessica Guinn, Cory Lane, Talia Lane and Tucker Reardon. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.

Loretta was proceeded in death by Delmer Lane, Mike Lane, Fawne McCarrell, Tyler Reardon, her parents Harold & Stella Laskey and her brother and sister.

Family visitation for Loretta Lane will be held at the Ashley Valley Funeral Home on Friday, April 7, from 5:30 – 7:30 pm and visitation at the church 9:45 -10:45 am prior to the service. Funeral services will be at the Kingsbury UCC church on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at the Vernal cemetery immediately following the funeral.
