Cliff Johnson, age 64 passed away on Monday, March 6, 2017. His big heart finally gave out. He was born April 18, 1952 in Ogden, Utah to Grant V. and Myrtle Black Johnson, both of whom have preceded him in death. He graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1970. He married Susan Beth Sandberg in Ogden, Utah LDS Temple on November 22, 1974. They welcomed four children into their home. Cliff was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. He served a mission to the Alabama-Florida mission in 1971-1973. He served in many callings and capacities and especially loved serving as a primary teacher and home teacher. He was quick with a smile and was always willing to serve others in anyway he could. His 40 plus year career was spent in the oil and gas industry.
Cliff is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Susan. His children: Lyman Grant (Angela) of West Jordan, Utah, Erin Johnson Hosford (Robert) of Woodbridge, Virginia, Jacob John (Dani) of Vernal, and Brian Donald (Andrea) of Shreveport, Louisiana. His 9 grandchildren: Brayden, Kelsi and Luke Johnson, Alvalon, Alana, Adam and Archer Hosford, and Seth and Emma Johnson. His siblings: Karma (Tom) Donnelly of Clearfield, Utah, Wayne (Mark Martinez) of Alexandria, Virginia, and Beverly (Alan) Clark of Harrisville, Utah.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the Glines Stake Center (78 South Aggie Blvd). A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6-8PM at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home and Saturday 9:45-10:45 A.M. at the Stake Center. Interment will be in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
