Jake Anthony Moss
Jake Anthony Moss, 80, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2016. He was predeceased by his first wife of 27 years, Shanna Lee (Graham) and two stepchildren, Mike Brooke and Rhonda Cadez. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Immojean (Mitchell) and his five children, Deborah Joan Delfin (Carlos), Lawrence Keith Moss (Colleen), Nancy Neumann (Ken) Darrel Linn Moss (Janna) and Lorelei Mabunga (John) as well as three stepchildren, Traci Sohayda (Mike), Terry Brooke (April) and Laura Mullins (Odie). Also by 29 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Jake served in the United States Army and in the Colorado National Guard. While serving in the Guard he worked in various positions for Mountain States Telephone, a company he stayed with as it changed to Mountain Bell and then US West. He began as a lineman and worked his way up to engineer. Later in life he did something he always wanted to: driving a school bus!
Funeral services will be held in Vernal, Utah on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 2PM at the Vernal 6th Ward LDS Chapel (850 West 100 North). A viewing will be held from 12:45~1:45PM at the Chapel. A second service will be held Monday, December 19, 2016 at 1PM in the Grand Mesa Ward (3076 E1/2 Road in Grand Junction, CO). A viewing will be held from 11:45AM-12:45PM at the Chapel. Interment will be in the Palisade City Cemetery with Military Honors. Services are under the direction of the Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
