Parker Jeffrey Stewart

Our beloved son, brother, husband, grandson, nephew, and friend, Parker Jeffrey Stewart, age 21, of Vernal, Utah passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on Dec. 4, 2016 due to complications after a tonsillectomy. He was born in La Habre, California on June 29, 1995.

Parker enjoyed all aspects of life and was always happy. He was known for his continuous ear-to-ear smile that immediately made strangers into friends. He made people feel important because he let them know that they were the reason behind his smile. He would generously pass out hugs that are now missed by all. Parker was large in stature because a small frame could not contain his huge heart. He was often referred to as a gentle giant because he watched over and served others on a regular basis.

Parker grew up in Vernal, Utah, and he graduated from Uintah High School in 2014. Parker was a hard worker and enjoyed working at the Springhill Suites while attending high school. He had been consistently employed since the age of 14. Parker moved to Medford, Oregon after graduation to take a job for Belfor Environmental. His work ethic earned him an international position there, which allowed him to return home and marry the love of his life.

Parker was an avid snowboarder, long boarder, and wake boarder. Parker enjoyed swimming and was a certified lifeguard. He dedicated his time to family and friends. He enjoyed being outdoors and photographing his adventures. Parker played football, spoiled his caring wife, and loved to eat. He was very good at expressing his thoughts through writing poetry. Parker lived by his motto: “Living in the past will provoke the present to destroy your future.”

Parker was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was married on Aug. 27, 2016 to Madilyn Joy Buehler, who has loved him since the 8th grade. Parker is loved and will be missed by his siblings: Jennings (Gabrielle) Stewart of Oregon, Taylor Stewart, Dallin Stewart, Sadie Gardner, Colton Gardner, Sophia Gardner, and Galven Gardner.

Parker is survived by his wife, Madilyn “Madi” Joy Buehler Stewart; mother, Yvonne Collett Gardner and stepfather, Greg Gardner, who raised him; and his father Jeffrey (Kathrine) Stewart of Oregon. He leaves behind a great-grandmother, four sets of grandparents, stepbrothers and a stepsister, and many cousins, aunts, uncles, a niece, a nephew and friends.

Funeral and graveside services were held Friday, Dec. 9, 2016, with interment at the Maeser Fairview Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared at www.AshleyValleyFuneralHome.com
