Sandon Rylee Marshall

Sandon Rylee Marshall, born on January 20, 1997 to Harold (Hal) Nelson Marshall and Teri Allred Marshall died on May 27, 2016 at the young age of 19 as a passenger in a tragic automobile accident. Sandon, born and raised in Vernal, Utah is survived by his parents, Hal and Teri, and siblings: Dallin (age 25) and his wife Makayle, Aaron (22), and Klisa (14). Sandon is also survived by all six of his grandparents: Marvin and Carlene Allred, Chuck and Judy Wimmer, and Nelson and Eleanor Marshall.

Sandon was attending Utah State University Uintah Basin with plans to move to Logan to continue his education in Computer Science. He graduated from Uintah High School as part of the class of 2015. He received his Eagle Scout award on March 18, 2012 and went on to receive three additional palms. Sandon was at home in many settings including the outdoors, the tennis courts, school, and church. He loved to drive his motorcycle, his dad’s tractor, and anything else with wheels. He brightened the lives of those around him through his piano music, beautiful bass voice, wacky dance moves, and infectious smile. Sandon had a fun loving spirit and soft manner that he used to help and uplift countless people. He mourned with those that mourned and lifted those with heavy hearts to bare the pains of others. Sandon was a hard-worker and enjoyed helping his Grandparent’s and neighbors with household tasks. He enjoyed hiking, fishing, and especially shooting. He more than once took the top spot in the Ward Priesthood shooting activities. Sandon was a member of the Maeser 3rd ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where he loved his ward family and served everyone diligently. Sandon had a strong testimony of his Savior and the Atonement of Jesus Christ.

Services will be held on Wednesday, June 1st at 11 o’clock in the Rockpoint LDS Chapel located at 2575 N. 1500 W. in Vernal. Friends and family may pay their respects on Tuesday, May 31st from 6-8 PM at the Ashley Valley Funeral Home and Wednesday morning from 9:45-10:45 at the Rockpoint Chapel.
