Elva May McKee


"Silently, one by one, in the infinite meadows of Heaven, blossomed the lovely stars, the forget-me-nots of the Angels" - Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.Heaven received it's most beautiful Angel on Friday, February 5, 2016. Elva Mae McKee (Chandler) of Randlett, at the grand old age of 84, Left this world peacefully, shrouded in the love of family and friends. Elva was born January 28, 1932 to William Thomas Chandler and Ivy Beatrice Chandler (Turner). Elva Married Roy Claude McKee and together they had 5 children. Later in life she married Barry Dean, and was later divorced. Elva was employed and retired from the Uintah County Care Center and was a member or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Elva loved the outdoors; Fishing, camping, gardening, and gambling were just a few of her many joys in life. Elva was an avid Utah Jazz, IHRA and NHRA fan and didn't miss a game or a race.

When asked recently, at Christmas, what was the best present she could ever remember getting, she promptly responded with the names of her five children. Elva's Children are, Roy Craig McKee; Callie Mckee Jenkins (Darrell); Jody Mckee Phelps (Mike); Cort McKee (Tammy ); Codie Mckee Smiun (Kent), Every one of her grandkids, whether Grand, Great or Great Great were so special to her and she loved them all, she has 10 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren and they were her greatest gifts in life, as she was to them. Elva is also survived by her younger brother and sister, Earnest Chandler and Beatrice Davis.

Elva received a grand welcome in Heaven by her Parents William and Ivy, her brothers Thomas, Ivan Morton & James Chandler, her Granddaughter Callie Ruth and Great Granddaughter Jersey Lee. Although our hearts will feel your void, they will be overflowing with the strength, love, and memories you have given us. Until we meet again.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 11, 2016 at the Randlett LDS Chapel (8276 East 4250 South) at 11AM. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 6-8pm at the Ashley Valley Funeral Home and Thursday 9:45~10:45AM at the chapel. Burial will be in the Avalon Cemetery under the direction of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
